# Coupon Codes Setup Guideline

## How to create a coupon code?

You can create coupon codes either from your Shopify admin or directly within the app — all codes originate from Shopify.
If you’d like to use the **Unique Codes** feature, you’ll need to create those codes from the app side.
Here’s the step-by-step guideline on how to create both **Master Codes** and **Unique Codes** within the app.

1. You can create a coupon code on the “**Theme**” section for each campaign that your customers can avail discount from.

## What is the difference between a **Master Coupon** and **Unique Coupon**?
Users can set up a “**Master Coupon**” that all customers can use once after signing up with their email. Follow these steps to create it:

For a “**Unique Coupon**,” which is specific to individual customers, follow these steps:

2. Set a discount code prefix, which will remain the same for all unique codes.

**Note: **In the “**Master Coupon**,” a customer can use someone else’s code to claim a discount. However, the “Unique Coupon” is tied to a specific customer and cannot be used by anyone else.
