Basically, it helps you to prevent customers from abandoning their cart by showing the little notification icon in the title bar of the Tab. The best part is, it doesn’t even require any subscription from the customer.

It will show the notification icon only to those visitors who have added one or more products to their cart and switched to another tab without completing the purchase.

In the Cart Reminder page, you can edit the message that will be reflected in the title bar of browser’s tab. Set up the toggle away time in seconds to show the notification when customers have switched the tab.

To further personalize it you can upload your brand logo in the favicon area and also entirely control the settings of the notification badge including the position, shape, animation and the color scheme to match with your store.

Once you’re all done, save the settings and then test on your store by clicking the button from the upper right corner.

Let’s test it out!

Follow some basic instructions first before you start:

1: Its very important that you always open a new incognito/private window of your browser.

2: Everytime you test, use a different email address. Don’t have that many emails? No problem, just use Yopmail.com

You can useyourname@yopmail.com. Also, there’s no need to register. It’s an open inbox email facility and it doesn’t even need a password.

3: Double check from Shopify Admin Panel that you have already installed the CareCart Email Marketing app.

4: In the end, just make sure that the email campaign is turned on.

Why my emails are going to spam?

We have done extensive testing and found out that our emails go to the inbox of largest email providers like Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo. However, complying with all the policies of all email services is tricky. Thus, avoiding spam becomes inevitable.

Our tests show that the average spam rate of our email delivery is 0.01, which means a very small number of emails go to spam.

How to avoid spam folder?

o avoid the spam folder please use your private domain email address (for example: email@yourdomain.com) as email sender instead of using the free services like Gmail, Outlook, etc.

While sending the test email of your campaign, it is highly recommended that in ‘CareCart Settings’→’Store Information’→ ‘Reply-to Email’ area you change and enter another email ID. This will help you to avoid any suspicious activity.

You also need to correctly set the SPF (Sender Policy Framework) records of your domain.

You can follow the steps below to make sure your domain’s SPF records are perfect:

Visit this page: https://mxtoolbox.com/SPFRecordGenerator.aspx, and enter your domain name.

If the record comes up as ” v=spf1 ~all ” then please request your domain name provider to replace it with “v=spf1 a mx include:_spf.carecart.io”

Once the SPF record of your private domain is set as above, your emails will no longer land in Spam.
